Raised in Wyoming,

Stays in Wyoming.

Who We Are:

In 2000, when founding members of Wyoming CARES noticed a gap in available services to help Wyoming residents who encountered unexpected events in their lives, they decided to change that.  One year later, in 2001, Wyoming CARES became a statewide 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable agency with a mission: to provide assistance to residents of Wyoming who may find it necessary to seek temporary assistance in times of need.

Targeting residents who are faced with extraordinary needs with limited resources who often fall through the cracks of available assistance, Wyoming CARES was founded to help Wyoming infants, children, youth, adults and seniors. The only eligibility criteria for assistance is Wyoming residency.

Wyoming CARES does not have religious, political or national affiliations.  Quite simply, Wyoming CARES is about Wyoming volunteers helping Wyoming people in need.

Funding:

Funds are raised through volunteer-generated fundraising events and campaigns, private grants, memorials and donations from businesses, corporations, foundations, and private Wyoming citizens.  Donations may be designated to a specific area of need by the donor, and are tax-deductible.

Events:

Wyoming CARES is proud to host multiple events throughout the year aimed at community involvement.
